Educational Courses
Community is an important part of everything we do, but the church also exists to equip you to become everything God created you to be, and that requires a certain level of education. We offer several educational courses designed to help you learn and grow in your knowledge to help you become a mature Christ follower.
More About Courses
Is This Like Sunday School?
Yes and No.
They’re designed to teach you some of what you may have learned in Sunday School, but in a more effective way.
The courses are more like college courses designed for your stage of life and active lifestyle.
And they aren’t just on Sunday mornings, courses are offered at various times to fit within your schedule.
In addition, because each course focuses on an important and relevant topic to your spiritual development,
there is a higher level of dedication and expectation than you would typically have in a Sunday School class.
“Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.”
– 2 Timothy 2:15
Course Offerings

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long are the Courses?
Each Course usually lasts 12 weeks (with the exception of the Evangelism Course which is 8 weeks). Each course session will usually last about 2 hours.
When do Courses generally meet?
There is no set day of the week or time of day. We try to rotate the schedule so that at some point it works for everyone’s busy schedules. When a course becomes avilable we will communicate the day and time for that particular Course.
Where are the Courses held?
Currently, all courses take place at the church (usually in the large room next to the restrooms–what we call The Loft).
I don't see any Courses available on the website. What gives?
That is certainly possible. Our plan is to hold Courses several times a year, so there may not be one available right now.
And as of early 2022, we are in the process of developing the Course Curriculum.
- The Bible Course is complete, and we held the first Course session in late 2021 (you can expect another sometime in 2023).
- The Beliefs Course is complete, and materials are being produced. We expect to launch this course soon so stay tuned.
- The Evangelism Course is in development. We expect to have it ready Fall of 2022.
- The Habits Course is expected to be developed and launched in 2023.
Do I need to take the Courses in order?
No. Each course is designed to be independent of the other courses so you can take them in any order. We encourage you to take whatever course is currently available and take them all over time (it would take at least a year to take them all).
Is there homework?
Yes. There will be reading from the Course Textbook to accomplish each week as well as questions to answer from the reading. In addition, some courses may include a project assignment. You can expect 2-4 hours of addition work during the week prior to the Course class.
Is there a cost associate with the Course?
Yes. There is typically a $25 cost that covers the course materials (workbook and textbook). We offer scholarships for those who cannot afford this expense.
What if I don't like the course, can I drop out?
Yes, you can always drop out of a course if it’s not right for you or you feel the material is too much. However, you will forfeit the cost of the course (but you get to keep the materials).
Do I receive anything for completing a Course?
YES! Everyone who completes a Course receives a personalize Course Completion Certificate. Each course is serious business and requires effort and discipline so you will have earned it.
Are the Courses difficult?
The Courses are more in-depth than what you might usually experience in a Sunday School or Small Group setting. There is a lecture, reading, classwork, and homework. But it’s designed to help you grow and learn–it’s not easy but you can do it!
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”
