School Grades
Students from grades 6-12 are all
welcome to join The Hive.
We invite 5th graders to join us at the end of the school year so that they have the entire summer to acclimate to the group.
What Do We Do?
We start our night with dinner and hanging out before moving into a time of Worship and then the Sermon before breaking into groups for discussion and prayer.
LifeGroups
We believe community is important for students so the time spent in groups after the sermon is vital to their spiritual growth and development (just as it is for Christ followers of all ages).
“Our goal is for students to embrace the truth that God can do infinitely more than we can dream or imagine. Now, imagine a ministry full of teens embracing that reality for themselves. How far could their impact stretch? How many souls could they impact? How deep could their relationship with God grow?”

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you accomodate allergies?
We do not accommodate individual allergies for the meals we provide. If your student has any particular food allergies or restrictions, please plan accordingly.
Do you have a dating policy?
We think it is best for parents and students to discuss and have a dating plan that we will suppport. We do not have a “blanket” dating plan for students in our ministry. We certainly teach and require purity in all relationships for our students.
Is Pastor Jake available to meet one-on-one with a student?
Of course! You or your student can contact Pastor Jake via email at jake@pinecrestonline.org to set up a meeting.
How does The Hive address the mental health issues of students?
The Hive has a Mental Health Night once a year where we discuss topics such as mental illness, depression, suicide, cutting, et al. We take this seriously and follow-up with any student who is struggling with these issues.
Can parents come to Wednesday Night?
Yes. We’d love for you to come see exactly what happens on Wednesday nights. Some students like their parents to volunteer as leaders (and so do we).
How do you keep parents informed of events and updates?
We send out texts and emails as appropriate. Our goal is to make sure parents are always well informed and we do not depend on your student to perform that task.
Are students allowed to leave the church campus during Wednesday Night?
Students who are dropped off MUST stay on campus until they are picked up. Students who drive themselves may leave at any time (although we prefer that they stay on campus we cannot require it).
